Food Safety and Hygiene: Exciting times!

As Christmas approaches, many of us will be eating out more and we all expect the food we consume to be safe. To achieve this all food businesses must comply with a range of regulations and standards and apply robust food hygiene procedures to their whole production chain from storage and preparation to cooking and serving. Food businesses are also regularly inspected by Environmental Health Officers (EHO) and adverse findings can result in premises being fined, issued with improvement notices or even closed down.

Headed by qualified EHO Zuzanna Bradley (who has recently been elected as a REHIS Southern Centre Committee Member), ACS has recently introduced and new Food Safety and Hygiene Division. Our flagship service is a ‘Food Hygiene Preparatory Inspection’ which allows clients to undergo a ‘mock’ audit/inspection by Zuzanna, identifying and fixing any problems areas before customers get ill or the Local Authority give penalties.
