Training
The provision of adequate and appropriate information, instruction and training is generally considered the cornerstone of effective governance. Utilising qualified educators and subject matter experts, ACS is well placed to develop and deliver a range of accredited and bespoke training to meet clients’ individual requirements. Training can be delivered at your own premises or at the ACS Training Academy in Glasgow.
Asbestos Training
It is important that employers can be confident in the competence of asbestos training organisations and ACS has been approved by UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) to deliver certificated Asbestos Awareness (Category A) and Asbestos Minor Works (Category B) training.
ACS also offers a wide range of bespoke asbestos training designed to suit the particular needs of your organisation and employees, including The Duty To Manage Asbestos; Asbestos for Managers; Asbestos Sampling; and, in the event of any employee uncertainty or concern, specific sessions to properly explain the risk and quell fears. Please contact us for a copy of our current training brochure.

H&S Training
The ACS H&S Training Division both supports, and is supported by, the H&S consultancy team, ensuing that topical and practical material is incorporated into the ACS courses, seminars, workshops and events. A particular expertise of ACS is in improving behavioural and cultural attitudes to work related hazards and risks. A wide range of IOSH-approved courses are available, including IOSH Working Safety, Managing Safely and Working Safely for Housing Associations. However, ACS is probably best known for its bespoke courses on any H&S topic (or combination of topics) to best suit clients’ requirements. Workplace Essentials
Legislation requires employers to provide whatever information, instructions and training is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of employees. This simply means that as an employer you need to make sure that all your staff are trained well enough to be able to work safely. ACS provides a full range of courses tailored to a wide range of delegates.

To this end, ACS has established an eLearning Academy, offering a range of on-line training courses in Asbestos and Health & Safety related topics.
