Asbestos Training Courses
It is a legal requirement that all who may come across asbestos in their day to day work have been provided with asbestos awareness training. If they intentionally work on asbestos they must have had appropriate training specific to the tasks they will undertake.
Asbestos Awareness
The Asbestos Awareness course provides delegates with a general awareness of the hazards and risks associated with asbestos. Training covers the key legal and practical implications for those who may come across asbestos in the course of their work and provides guidance on minimising risk.
This training should be given to employees whose work could foreseeably disturb the fabric of a building and expose them to asbestos or those who supervise or influence the work.

Duty To Manage Asbestos
This course provides an overview of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Regulation 4 - the duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises.
Persons requiring this type of training would include duty holder’s assistants, appointed persons assistants, building owners, landlords, sub-lessors, managing agents etc.

• 1/2 day course (attendees must have attained UKATA certificated Asbestos Awareness training within 6 months of the start date)
Duty To Manage Asbestos for Social Landlords
The course provides an extended guidance of Duty to Manage Asbestos to deliver bespoke course content, while using the existing Duty to Manage Asbestos Syllabus.
Persons requiring this type of training would include duty holder’s assistants, appointed persons assistants, building owners, landlords, sub-lessors, managing agents etc.

• 1/2 day course initial training with NO previous UKATA asbestos awareness training undertaken plus an additional 30 minutes minimum and training with previous UKATA certificated asbestos awareness training undertaken within 6 months of the start date
Asbestos Awareness in Soil and Made Ground
The Asbestos Awareness course provides delegates with a general awareness of the hazards and risks associated with asbestos in soils.
The course is aimed at people employed on brownfield site development projects or any sites where work will disturb the soil and ground which may contain asbestos materials from buildings that have previously been demolished.

• 1 day course (attendees must have attained UKATA certificated Asbestos Awareness training within 6 months of the start date)
Asbestos Awareness for Groundworkers
This course provides an overview of asbestos materials groundworkers may encounter during their day-to-day work activities whilst undertaking groundwork activities.
Persons requiring this type of training would include site engineers, utility and maintenance engineers, ground works operatives, on site remediation and waste disposal workers and fencing installation workers.

• 3-4 hours course (attendees must have attained UKATA certificated Asbestos Awareness training within 6 months of the start date)
Asbestos Non-Licensed Operative
This course provides an overview of what works are classified as non-licensed and the control measures that will be required to undertake non-licensed work with asbestos containing materials.
Persons requiring this type of training would include trade operatives or any other persons likely to disturb and carry out work on asbestos containing materials.
• 3-4 hours course (attendees must have attained UKATA certificated Asbestos Awareness training within 6 months of the start date)
