World Mental Health Day 2025: Accessible Support When It Matters Most

10th October 2025

This World Mental Health Day, the theme "Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies" highlights a crucial truth: effective mental health support must be available when people need it most. With approximately 875,000 people in Great Britain reporting work-related stress, depression, or anxiety in 2022-2023 (HSE), and 1% of UK adults feeling persistently stressed even away from work, the need for accessible, practical mental health services has never been clearer.

A Comprehensive Approach to Workplace Mental Health

At ACS, we provide multiple pathways to mental health support, recognising that different situations require different responses:

  • Mental Health Awareness Training equips all staff to recognise early warning signs and create supportive environments where conversations about wellbeing can happen naturally.

  • Stress in the Workplace Training explores the biological mechanisms behind stress and provides practical strategies for managing workplace pressures—addressing a challenge that results in approximately 70 million working days lost annually (pre-COVID figures).

  • Mental Health First Aid Training creates designated first responders within your organisation who can provide crucial initial support during mental health crises, bridging the gap between recognising a problem and accessing professional help.

Ancient Wisdom for Modern Stress

Our Calming Stress & Anxiety with Eden Energy Medicine course offers something unique: time-tested techniques that provide immediate, practical relief. Using tapping, energy tracing, mindful breathwork, and gentle acupressure, participants gain tools they can use instantly - at work or at home.

The feedback speaks for itself:

ree

"I came away with techniques I will find helpful and be able to use."

"Learning the different techniques to use and the practical side of these... really enjoyed this event and found it useful."

"The trainer was excellent, truly inspirational."

Participants consistently highlight the practical, immediately applicable nature of what they learn - tools that work in the moment, when stress hits.

One Day is Important - But What About the Other 364?

World Mental Health Day serves a vital purpose: raising awareness, starting conversations, and highlighting the importance of mental wellbeing. But lasting change requires more than one day of focus.

At ACS, we believe mental health support should be embedded into everyday workplace life, not reserved for annual awareness days or moments of crisis. With over 30 years of experience supporting organisations, we help build sustainable mental health cultures where support is accessible every day of the year, from awareness and prevention through to crisis intervention and ongoing resilience-building.
